Powered by the remittance fintech LemFi, over the August Bank Holiday Weekend in the U.K last year, Femme Africa took over London’s contemporary hub, Shoreditch with a three-day pop up bringing together local and diaspora Nigerian brands across Fashion, Beauty, Lifestyle, Culture, Music and beverages.
Starring Mohini Beauty, Imani Vintage, GIDA Journal, Studio Bonnitta, Lulla House, WWYD and our 2023 In Her Bag winner, 21 Wool Street, The Femme Africa Pop Up showcased the women-owned businesses we know and love at home to our every growing community in the UK. We also partnered with multiple Black British entrepreneurs to enhance the pop up experience for our shoppers, including Creators on Creators who co-hosted a live podcast session with Olamide Olowe, Alicia Lartey and Mikai Mcdermott (watch below).
Bringing the vibe to our shopping experience, Chaps, Highball Haus and Ciroc served up the drinks, DJ Femo lit up the decks and the Yard Club joined us for a UK special edition Girls Night In: For The Girls mixer.
